About Edi

Edi Nelson is a licensed and registered occupational therapist with over 25 years of experience specializing in sensory integration and the DIR®/Floortime™ model—a developmental, neuroaffirming and relationship-based approach centered on connection over compliance. Edi is deeply interested in the sensory-affective-motor triad, using felt safety and caregiver connections as the foundational cornerstones for functional growth. At the heart of her practice is a deep commitment to collaboration. By respecting every family's individual path and centering care on what matters most, she creates an environment where meaningful development and lasting functional growth can flourish.

Edi has sought multi-disciplinary supervision from OTs, SLPs, educators, and mental health professionals, many who are master DIR® clinicians. She now carries that love of learning forward as an educator herself, supporting parents as well as other practitioners on their own professional journeys. Edi is a DIR®/Floortime™ certified trainer and Profectum™ Assistant faculty member. She is also certified in PACT.
